If you are looking for a friendly and helpful guild for leveling and raiding and you are a good team player then TheCore is the guild for you! We are a cooperative effort guild of members from all around the globe. TheCore was established on server Maiev on December 9, 2007. Our members enjoy raiding end game content, running heroics and battlegrounds and generally just having fun in the game.
Maiev has been a fairly low to medium population server with quite a few more horde than alliance. It isn't a terribly bad server but definitely not a high pop one. TheCore is one of the oldest guilds on the server and has lost and gained members over time but continues to progress, albeit slower than some of the more "hardcore" raiding guilds - which often tend to burn out relatively soon. We try to make the game fun and enjoyable and help each other along.
If you have questions about TheCore or need help, contact in-game a Guild Council Member or the Guildmaster, Tarandus. Or, send us a private message on this website (thecore.wowstead.com). If you are interested in joining TheCore, please go to the Recruiting section and fill out the brief application. If you don't have the patience or motivation to fill out a simple application please look elsewhere for a guild. Keep in mind you need to register on Wowstead and select an active character from the drop down (top right) in order to access the application (this is a Wowstead requirement).
Wow, that is A LOT of pandas! The image here shows what a panda "zoo" (pun intended hehe) it was upon entering the Shang Xi Training Grounds for the panda race in the Mists of Pandaria beta for World of Warcraft, on April 6, 2012, after a few hundred thousand beta invites went out in more "waves" from Blizzard. There were so many pandas trying to interact with the quest giver Master Shang Xi, that it looked like a mountain of pandas! haha.
Dear Blizzard,
Please add the HONEY BADGER as a crazy, ferocious, nasty pet for Mists of Pandaria mini-pet battles! The HONEY BADGER should be one of the elite, the best, the most crazy and nasty and brutal of all the pets and should specialize in chomping the heads off of cobras and other snakes and eating rats and rodents. The HONEY BADGER should be able to climb trees to hunt prey because he is hungry. The HONEY BADGER should have resistance to snake venom and be able to come to after being bitten and carry on the attack.
Please support adding the HONEY BADGER to WoW-MOP,
as one of the elite mini-pets for the new pet battles!

Congratulations are due to the raiders in TheCore who have been working so hard to down all the bosses in Dragon Soul and also on heroic mode. While all in the guild are helpful and supporting and many are raiding content, one of our groups has been attacking Dragon Soul with a vengeance and the effort has paid off as TheCore is currently, as of this post, ranked number one for the Alliance on our realm, Maiev. (And, number nine overall for the realm when the Horde are included.) Good job all and grats!
Thanks to generous guild members who donated and thanks to NationVoice Communications, TheCore now has LIFETIME Ventrilo! NationVoice offered lifetime subscriptions as part of their five-year anniversary and worked with TheCore to offer a 50-user account and provided a great rate! So, in addition to "thank yous" to all of the guild members who helped support TheCore by donating money to pay for LIFETIME Ventrilo, special thanks are due to our sponsor, NationVoice, who helped our little World of Warcraft guild.
